Honey is a healthy and natural product: in the province of Savona honey is produced from the following trees: chestnut, acacia, heather and wildflowers. The color of honey varies precisely according to the flowers employed:  from pale yellow (acacia honey), to  amber  yellowr (chestnut honey).
Even the taste of course vary according to the flowers used. In Finale Ligure the Monastic Community of the Benedictine Abbey of Santa Maria in Finalpia deals since 1930 with the care of bees and produce honey.
