On the promontory of Punta Crena you can reach with a pleasant trail the ruins of the castle built by the Del Carretto family. With the victory over the Marquis of Finale in 1341, the Genoese destroyed the building and interrarono the port of Varigotti.

The lookout tower on the peak of the promontory was built after the last invasion of the Turks in 1559.
