The Piano Competition of Chamber Music "Palma d'Oro-Town of Finale Ligure” is a prestigious artistic event occurring every year at the end of August. Created in 1974 by the Municipality of Finale Ligure, together with Fondazione De Mari, the Municipality of the German town of Donzdorf, it received the support of Regione Liguria. In 2015 under the guidance of M° Paolo Venturino and the supervision of the jury, new rules concerning the choice of the music for the competitions were introduced, in order to grant a greater artistic freedom and at the same time to offer the audience a wider repertoire than the previous editions. The Cultural Music Association "Palma d'Oro" is the organizer of the event: one of its main aims is to enhance and develop musical culture.
